The tour starts in front of Palazzo del Bo, the ancient palace of the University of Padua. After a brief introduction about the importance of the University in the history of the city, we start walking through via Roma to the Jewish Ghetto of Padua.

In this track, we visit the outside facades of the three synagogues of the ghetto. They testify the historical presence of different Jewish communities in Padua.

We explore Corte Lenguazza, a hidden little square of the ghetto with many stories and secrets to know.

All the way down through via San Marino e Solferino and via Soncin, the voice of Martin Esposito leads us to discover the palaces of the Jewish families that lived in the ghetto. Accompanied by music, the track ends in Piazza del Duomo.

In Piazza del Duomo, the splendid medieval heart of the city, we walk towards the facade of the Monte di Pieta’ and we admire the magnificent Bishop’s Palace. In the end of the track, you will not miss the opportunity to visit the Baptistery of the Duomo, where is one of the most stunning cycles of mediaeval frescoes of Europe.

Walking under the Vallaresso Arch, we enter the perimeter of the so-called Reggia Carrarese, the old residential complex of the Carraresi family.

Starting from the beautiful ‘Loggia dei Carraresi’, we walk along the wall of the Cathedral in Via Dietro Duomo, until we reach the believed Paduan home of the poet Francesco Petrarca. The tour ends in front of the rear of the Bishop's Palace, where we will see a witness of the century long relationship existing between the Bishops of the Cathedral and the German Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire.
